11th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MALAYSIA-INDONESIA RELATIONS

PERSIDANGAN ANTARABANGSA HUBUNGAN MALAYSIA-INDONESIA KE-SEBELAS (PAHMI 11)

Universitas Indonesia, Depok, 14-16 August 2017

Indonesia and Malaysia are members of ASEAN that have similar geography, demography, and history. These similarities have created an atmosphere of togetherness and harmony. Over the past decades, the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Malaysia have been established seamlessly. Both countries have tried to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region, yet there are still challenges ahead that need to be properly addressed.

The 11th International Conference on Malaysia-Indonesia Relations (PAHMI 11)   in 2017 will be held at  Universitas Indonesia, and this event is organised in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of ASEAN.

PAHMI 11  is co-organised by the Faculty of Humanities (Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya), Universitas Indonesia, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya, as well as with partner universities in Indonesia and Malaysia, to bring together scholars, researchers, students, practitioners and non-governmental organizations from both countries and other countries interested in the Malaysia-Indonesia relations or other ASEAN issues pertaining to these two countries in a larger context to discuss interdisciplinary research and practices in many fields and key issues related to Malaysia and Indonesia.

PAHMI 11    aims to understand more deeply the relations and issues between the two countries from various perspectives. Indonesia and Malaysia are among the founding members of ASEAN. Therefore, this conference will also enhance and strengthen the collaboration between scholars, researchers, students and institutions of both countries.  This conference serves as a platform to stimulate dialogue on the bilateral relations and mutuality of both countries, as well as provide insights into the regional and global dynamics of today.

Submission of full papers is invited. The papers shall have not been previously submitted or published or be under consideration in other conferences or publications.

We look forward to seeing you in Indonesia.
